Advanced indoor work is not about flying recklessly or faster for the sake of speed. It is about maintaining precision in more complex environments while integrating the aircraft with real team movement and information needs.
Experienced public safety operators who have already completed the basic indoor course and can fly confined spaces confidently. Advanced training assumes the fundamentals are already there and adds harder environments, alternative control methods, and closer integration with team movement.
Day 1 focuses on advanced methods and mission integration. Day 2 is built around practical flight stations and scenarios that demand faster decisions without sacrificing control.
This is not a fundamentals course. Students must hold a current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and complete Basic Tactical Indoor Flight before attending. Operators should arrive comfortable with GPS-denied flight, confined-space navigation, low-light operation, and observer coordination.
The host agency provides a classroom and a training structure that supports multi-room and, when available, multi-level exercises. Aircraft and scenario requirements are confirmed before class so the course matches the training site and the host agency's operational needs.
