Taught by people who have done the job

Our instructors have flown public safety and emergency-response missions. They are not reading someone else's slides.

Built for the mission

We cover agency program development, Part 107, public-aircraft operations, COA considerations, and real mission scenarios. That is the material most test-prep classes skip.

We come to you

We travel to your agency and schedule the class around your operational calendar.

Small class, real attention

Part 107 is capped at 24 students. Search & Rescue is capped at 16. That keeps the room small enough for questions and direct instructor access.

Who's Flying

A team of instructors with real public safety flight experience

1105 Drones is a family-owned public safety UAS training company based in Madisonville, Louisiana. It was founded by a public safety remote pilot with law enforcement and emergency-response mission experience. The instructors we work with have done the same type of work our students are preparing to do.

That's the difference between a class taught from a slide deck and one taught from the field.

Questions

Before you enroll

Do officers need prior drone experience?

No. The course is built for someone with no flight background and prepares them for the FAA Part 107 knowledge test.

Are the 2 host-agency seats automatic?

Yes. Any agency that hosts the class at their facility receives 2 complimentary seats.

What if we want to send a large group?

Both courses are priced per student. Part 107 is capped at 24 students, and Search & Rescue is capped at 16. Hosting is usually the best option for a group because your agency receives 2 free seats in addition to the paid seats.

Is this only for law enforcement?

No. The courses are built for law enforcement, fire, EMS, emergency management, and SAR personnel.

Do you travel outside Louisiana?

Yes. All of our courses are available nationwide. We travel to your agency and teach on-site, scheduled around your calendar.
